Simplicity is sometimes better

Wednesday, May, 25, 2016

Greetings and a good day to you. It is time for another post for the week.

So, there are plenty of signs in this country that have text that is technically correct, although the idea behind them is questionable and sometimes laughable. Today I will present a minor example of this. I saw a sign about animals and I can understand the idea of animals, but the English text underneath said “No uncaged animals”. So apparently, if I bring a cage, I can bring the animal with me. I suppose the writer believed that bringing a cage is too hard, so it wouldn’t apply, but it would be simpler to just say “No animals”. Adding an adjective wasn’t really necessary in this case.

Anyway, this is the conclusion concluding the post of the week. As always, the difficult words have been emphasized in a way that appears just like this. That is the end of this chapter.

Instructional language can be handy

Wednesday, May, 18, 2016

Greetings and good day to you. It is time for another post for the week.

Well then. I always say that learning through some source that is of interest to the student is the best way as it will definitely raise motivation and is just simply good. This is targeted toward people who enjoy cooking and like following recipes, but is applicable to other forms of instruction. So if you have something you need to do and are able to follow the instructions in order to do it, and most of all are able to read and comprehend, then you have made progress.

So find some English recipes and get to work studying. I hope you can make some good dishes. I made pasta.

Anyway, this is the conclusion concluding the post of the week. As always, the difficult words have been emphasized in a way that appears just like this. That is the end of this chapter.

Language influences

Wednesday, May, 11, 2016

Greetings and good day to you. It is time for another mandatory post for the week.

So, recently we had Mother’s Day and it brings up an interesting topic involving dialects that I happened to be thinking of. I think that family has a big influence on the way we talk as do region and interests. Basically, we are emulating the speech style and this style is what will be with us for a very long time. For those with young ones, be sure to give them a good speech pattern.

Anyway, this is the conclusion concluding the post of the week. As always, the difficult words have been emphasized in a way that appears just like this. That is the end of this chapter.

Naming convention

Wednesday, May, 04, 2016

Greetings and good day to you. It is time for another post for the week.

The name of something can be an important aspect, especially if it is one such name that stands out. Standing out is important for recognition and the better something stands out, the more likely it is to be recognized and remembered by potential newcomers to that which is trying to be recognized.

So, there was this one store with a very vibrant logo, and that aspect is memorable, but Japan has a lot of odd names for things and this was no exception. “Can More” is a slight error. “Can Do More” is correct, although it’s hard to say that if this fits in with the store’s intentions. So if you’re going to name something, do some planning.

Anyway, this is the conclusion concluding the post of the week. As always, the difficult words have been emphasized in a way that appears just like this. That is the end of this chapter.
