This is a weekly submission for the category involving foreigner sweethearts.

Well, I’ve been talking about some foreign setting restaurants and places of dining, but this is Japan after all, so I figured I’d talk about the izakaya scene. It’s definitely a great scene and quite often very social. Sometimes large groups get together, but tables for two are perfectly fine. The best part is there is a wide variety of drinks and food available and it tends to make for a much more energetic time. In my area, we have Yamachan, but there are plenty to go around all over the country. Pick your favorite.
