This is a weekly submission for the category involving foreigner sweethearts.

So, plenty of good stuff out there and the common question to ask is “what’s on the menu?”, but sometimes in Japan this can have the meaning of not only wanting to know what is being served in the establishment, but also what the heck actually is written on the menu. This is where the Japanese companion can come into play as it can be something to share together as deciphering the thing can be quite challenging, even if you’ve been here a while. So after figuring it out, order something good.
